The Potential of Simulations in Public Health

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of statistics in epidemiology and public health. To understand and study the health of a population, we need to make use of statistical concepts. Thus, in a data-driven world with increased attention on public health, the need for accurate inference and evidence-based decision-making requires researchers and students in the field to be familiar with statistical concepts and to understand how to incorporate them into their work.
