This issue’s puzzle is another variety cryptic in the bar-type style. It was composed in a hotel room and restaurant in Shanghai, China, during spare time I had between teaching MBA classes for the University of British Columbia. Passersby certainly gave me puzzled looks as they tried to figure out what I was doing. In the same spirit, you will need to figure out the gimmick in this puzzle.
