Why Testing? Why Should It Cost You?
During the first half of the 20th century, New York City was the scene of three much-loved and celebrated fall traditions: the changing of the colors of the leaves in Central Park, the Labor Day Parade in Crown Heights Brooklyn, and a Sunday trip to Orchard Street on the lower East Side of Manhattan. Orchard Street was (and is) the location of many wholesale clothing purveyors. At that time, these stores were principally owned by Jews, so they were closed on the Sabbath and open only “to the trade” during the week—but on Sundays, they were open for retail.
