Leadership Development Through Volunteer Activities
Volunteering is an opportunity to develop new skills and experience the world in a way one would not necessarily have in a work situation. The nature of volunteering can enable an individual not only to understand areas of passion but also open doors to opportunities, develop new professional and leadership skills, and create professional connections, all of which can facilitate the pursuit of a fulfilling career.
The volunteer experience is not just about oneself; I encourage people to create opportunities to work with and help others develop leadership skills along the way. Helping others develops your personal leadership skills.
